You can upload all file formats to the Website Editor. But be aware that you can only use web-ready file formats for the website.
Are images compressed when uploaded to Website Editor?
The images remain in their original size in the Website Editor and are only compressed on the live website - and in such a way as to ensure optimum display quality. The images are compressed to the displayed size. This saves you upload time and at the same time your Google ranking benefits because your page speed stays fast.
If you like to disable the optimization on the live website, you are able to do this manually for an image. Just uncheck the Optimized option in the image settings. Please note that when you disable the optimized option the image will be loaded in its original size and the responsive setting is no longer available.
